Call for Abstracts for Oral and Poster Presentations
ATTENTION!
This is to inform the participants of ICHC-22 that all the abstracts submitted for oral (contributed) or poster presentations at the ICHC-22 have been accepted by the Abstract Reviewing Committee. The details on the presentations including schedule, format, and other essential information will be posted at the website of the Congress by the end of June, 2009. Those delegates who need acceptance or invitation letter for processing their visa application at the Canadian Consulates are advised to contact Professor M. Daneshtaslab at (mohsen@mun.ca).Abstracts for contributed poster and oral presentations are being accepted for the 22nd International Congress on Heterocyclic Chemistry, to be held during August 02-07, 2009 at the Delta Hotel and Convention Centre, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Abstracts will be accepted for contributions in any of the following categories:
New Methods in Heterocyclic Chemistry
Biologically Active Heterocycles (Pharmaceuticals/Agrochemicals)
Heterocyclic Natural Products and Analogs
Application of Heterocycles in Organic Synthesis
Heterocycles in Materials Science
Only abstracts from participants possessing a confirmation number will be considered (Please visit the registration site in order to register for the conference and receive your confirmation number (4 digits)). There are a limited number of slots (72) available for contributed oral presentations. If the number of requests for oral presentations exceeds the number of slots available, some contributed oral presentations will be accepted as posters. All presentations should contain original work.
The deadline for receipt of abstracts is extended to May 20th, 2009.
You will receive an Abstract Submission confirmation on your screen immediately after you submit your abstract. Please print this page for you records. Letters of acceptance will be sent by the Organizing Committee by May 31st, 2009.
Instructions
Please complete ALL fields in the submission form before submitting an abstract.
Each abstract submission must be done using a separate form.
Be sure the default language is set to English - DO NOT use foreign character encoding as we will NOT be able to view your abstract
Abstracts must be submitted in English, must contain an adequate body of data, and be free of typographical errors. Please proofread and spell-check the abstract before submitting it, as it will be printed exactly as it appears when submitted.
For text, use Times New Roman, 12-point. Use the Symbol font for symbols and Greek characters.
The length of the abstract, including chemical equations and references, should not be more than one letter-size page (21.59 cm ? 27.94 cm or 8 inch x 11 inch); all paper margins should be set at 2.54 cm (1 inch).
Be sure your abstract includes the title of your abstract, and all authors names and addresses.
The title must be in sentence case (not all caps) and bold, followed by the authors full names (underline the presenting author) and their affiliations.
The name of the attached abstract file must be the last (family) name of the corresponding author and contain no spaces (e.g. Smith).
For multiple submissions label with the last name followed by the number of the submission: Smith1 or Smith_1, Smith2 or Smith_2, etc.
The abstract must be uploaded in one of the following three formats:
o Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
o Rich Text Format (.rtf)
o Adobe Portable Data File (.pdf)
Submissions sent by fax will not be accepted.
